Founded in 1906, the Scotch Plains Italian-American Club is a private non-profit organization originally established by Italian immigrants from the Abruzzi Region of Italy. Largely from the small village of Montazzoli, club members continue to maintain strong ties with its spirited heritage and old world family values characterized by hard work, love, family and a celebration of life.
The club’s membership is a vital part of our community, contributing much to the social fabric of Scotch Plains and surrounding areas. The efforts of our members: builders, business owners, construction workers, developers, musicians, politicians, police officers, professionals, teachers, township officials, tradesmen, and volunteer firefighters are visible throughout the community.
The Scotch Plains Italian American Club not only supports various charities through financial contributions but, its members actively volunteer their time and talents to the community. Never forgetting its roots, the Club maintains a strong bond with its origins in Abruzzi, Italy and routinely supports the community there.
The organization’s social club located in Scotch Plains plays an important role in the life of its members. The location offers two large Banquet rooms for rent by the general public. You will find more information including features and photos about our two Banquet Halls on this site. Please feel free to contact us for availability and rates.
